As part of President Obama’s plan to “win the future,” described in his State of the Union address, a local firm will be participating in a new mentoring program, the TechStars Network. The New Orleans business is LaunchPad Ignition, an outgrowth of Launch Pad New Orleans. Ignition is a start-up business “accelerator.” It offers a seven-week training program to start-up businesses culminating in a pitch presentation to potential investors.
